How do I get alerted when Star Cineplex tickets go on sale?
Pick your movie on CineAlert BD, choose the cinema and date you want, and select how you'd like to be alerted — email, SMS, or phone call. We watch Star Cineplex every minute and notify you within a minute of tickets for that movie becoming bookable.
Can I get a notification for a movie that hasn't released yet?
Yes — that's exactly what CineAlert BD is for. Search for an upcoming title (like a movie still marked 'coming soon'), set your alert, and we'll watch for the first moment its tickets appear on Star Cineplex.
Is CineAlert BD free?
You can use CineAlert BD for free — email alerts are free. SMS and phone-call alerts are premium options with a small per-alert fee because they cost us money to send and are far harder to miss. Pricing can change with current offers, so you always see the exact price before you confirm an alert.
What is Auto-book and how does it work?
Auto-book helps you grab Star Cineplex seats fast on busy releases. Pick your movie, choose at least 4 rows and 2+ cinemas, and we check every hall at once and hold the first matching seats — kept together for your group — then hand you Cineplex's own secure pay-link to complete payment. We never hold a seat you don't want: your held seat is released automatically if you search again, reload or leave the page, tap Release, or don't start payment within about 2 minutes.
Does Auto-book keep my seat blocked if I don't pay?
No. A held seat is freed quickly so it doesn't block other people. It's released the moment you start a new search, reload or leave the page, tap the Release button, or if you don't begin payment within about 2 minutes. Once you open the pay-link, your seat stays held while you complete payment.
What is Group Watch?
Group Watch pairs you with a small group of phone-verified people to see a movie together at Star Cineplex — with women-only, verified-student, and mixed groups. Everyone is 18+, buys their own ticket, and your group plans the showtime together.
Will you alert me about new showtimes too?
Yes. Beyond the first 'tickets are live' alert, we also watch for new halls and showtimes added to your date and can alert you when more become available — so you get another chance at good seats.
How fast will I be notified?
We check Star Cineplex roughly every minute. When your movie's tickets go live, your alert is sent within about a minute — fast enough to beat the rush on popular releases.
Which Star Cineplex locations are supported?
All of them — Bashundhara (BSC), SKS Tower Mohakhali, Shimanto Dhanmondi, Sony Square Mirpur, Uttara Centrepoint, Chattogram, Narayanganj and more. You choose the exact location you want when setting an alert.
What happens after I pay for an SMS or call alert?
Your alert is saved to your account and goes live immediately. You can see all your active and past alerts in your profile, and you only pay once per alert.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes — a quick account (email/password or Google) lets us save your alerts and contact details so you never have to re-enter them. You can fill in your alert first and we'll keep your details while you log in.
